Another Science Outreach success story

WUSTL graduate and undergraduate students, through the Science Outreach program, recently helped teacher Scott McClintock and his students at Maplewood Richmond Heights Middle School complete a diverse study of wind energy, biomass, solar power and hydropower, spending an entire week with four different classes. Irish ensemble Danú in concert Saturday

Emergency notification system will be tested March 9

WUSTL will test its emergency notification system, WUSTLAlerts, at approximately 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 9. The WUSTLAlerts test will take place unless there is the potential for severe weather that day or some other emergency is occurring at that time. FULL STORY

Seligman to deliver Tyrrell Williams Lecture

Joel Seligman, JD, president of the University of Rochester, will discuss the future of financial regulation at the 2011 Tyrrell Williams Lecture at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 3.   • Baseball loses season opener. The baseball team erased a four-run deficit against NCAA Division I Saint Louis University in its season opener Feb. 27, but it was not enough as the Billikens brought the game-winning run across the plate in the bottom of the ninth to secure a 5-4 victory. The game was the first under new head coach Steve Duncan.
